Boheme Cafe is the brainchild of Martha Lucius. An artist, world traveler, and avid cyclist, Martha has created this fiercely independent Baltimore cafe. The healthy, globally-inspired menu also adheres to the values of the Slow Food movement.  This matches her love for flavor found in herbs and spices, not just salt and pepper! Martha believes in giving back to the local community as well, and participates in public school garden programs, teaching kids to cook healthy meals from the produce they grow.
Luke Anderson serves as General Manager and helped Martha with the initial launch of Boheme. His eclectic taste in music and food, and his passion for creating the perfect espresso drinks, make the Boheme experience far from ordinary.
Boheme Cafe is the perfect local and delicious experience you crave: amazing espresso drinks, great soups and sandwiches, plenty of vegetarian options and tasty sweets—all delivered by an attentive and engaging staff.
We’re located just across from the National Aquarium, and you’ll enjoy the energetic and eclectic vibe, as well as one of the best views of Federal Hill and the Inner Harbor. Come sit at our shady outdoor seating.
Boheme also provides catering services. Our mantra is “Be professional, for all orders and each delivery.”
What is “Boheme”? We get asked this a lot! The name is a nod to the bohemians of Baltimore’s past. They dreamt up amazing schemes, and inventions, collected world-class art and created great music. Perhaps they came to their “aha” moments at the cafĂ©s of their day! Here are a few of our favorite Baltimore bohemians: The Cone Sisters, HL Mencken, Enoch Pratt, Gertrude Stein, and Nina Simone. Let’s not forget: Adrian Rich, David T. Abercrombie, Jada Pinkett Smith and John Waters.
Boheme: [boh-em]
Since so many of you ask, here is how we pronounce our name. But frankly, come on in—no matter how you say it! And remember fan us on Facebook.
